Who am I ?

Jean-Francois “grew up” in one of the most hi-tech industries. He developed his competence in process improvement by working for the company who invented the 6-sigma methodology. Using his creativity and perseverance to eradicate the factory’s largest quality issue by creating a system to statistically analyse the production (using over than 4,500 Statistical Process Control charts and Western Electric rules) and automatically update over 2,000 manufacturing recipes. As a result, the production capability increased drastically (from cpk=0.7 to 1.2), a significant improvement of great value and recognised by the Chairman and CEO of Motorola.

A strong and effective ability to analyse complex data and technologies and present them in clear and concise written and visual formats. Jean-Francois proved himself to be a valuable asset to all stakeholders when he successfully managed the resolution of a large quality issue (M$40 claim) his service had against the worldwide largest car manufacturer by implementing the Ford 8D methodology and having a clear communication strategy.

Being a Quality Manager, Jean-Francois has been exposed to all sorts of technical problems and human behaviours/conflicts. He developed the capacity to quickly analyse situations, analyse data, increasing his powers of persuasion to implement corrective and preventative actions (sometimes initially seen as against productivity). Indefatigable curious engineer, he was enthused by his role in the space industry which made him very capable in dealing with extraordinarily complex systems and precise documentation. Additionally, Jean-Francois has demonstrated an elevated level of confidentiality and compliance during his mission in the Defence industry.

He improved his conflict management and time management skills when he had to implement and lead a Portfolio Management Office (PMO). A successful trainer and mentor of project officers, project managers and top-management executives, applying a systemic and practical approach of project management, consistently leading to higher project success rates. Jean-Francois is an energetic and efficient Operations Manager being able to address any issue, maximise profitability, improving staff motivation and make decisions. He has developed strong stress management skills and built a high resilience. He has proven that improving the staff happiness and workplace culture is a major factor of business success.

He has also enjoyed being a consultant to help others and be exposed to different business cultures and management styles. He enriched his ability to persuade and influence at every layer of the hierarchy.
